Bring life to medical places.

Breaking out of the “white hospital” stereotype: the question of DESIGN in HEALTH-related establishments.

In her thesis “Color theory: The Effects of Color in Medical Environments”, Sarah E. Babin transcribes the idea of specialist Frank Mahnke and author Margaret Portillo: “There is a general consensus to eliminate ‘hospital white’ or ‘hospital green’. White and overly bright environments contribute to visual fatigue and psychological discomfort.”

When it comes to healthcare, interior design isn’t just about aesthetics. It has a role that can go far beyond that: it can have an impact in reducing stress, improving clinical outcomes, and even aiding healing.

Our concept is to combine artistic creation with technical materials used to cover walls, floors, facades and ceilings.
For healthcare establishments, specialized residences, places of care, this concept finds innovative applications, with a wider scope than just interior design. Here are just a few examples:

Comfortable, reassuring waiting rooms for patients and carers.

The healing effect of soothing colors to reduce anxiety and their impact on clinical outcomes.

In psychiatric environments, the power of shapes and colors to act on certain pathologies. According to research, strategically placed patterns can influence patient behavior, and counterbalance the use of medication at specific times.

For nursing staff and carers, improving the living space has key repercussions on the general atmosphere in a healthcare environment: rest areas, cafeteria, changing rooms.

Design in healthcare goes far beyond appearance – it’s about creating environments that actively support health and well-being, by investing in design solutions that focus on the users: patients, caregivers and carers.

A number of studies in the Anglo-Saxon scientific literature are focusing on this subject. To enrich our discussion, we have synthesized these writings, which have enabled us to develop new angles and put design at the service of a committed issue.

Let’s create spaces where we feel good!
